Today’s scripture goes along with the previous couple blog posts. They describe what Jesus did for us so that we can be saved and how to be saved. 1 John describes how we know we are saved. We are not saved by these things, it is evidence that we are saved. Continue reading “Knowing We are Saved”

Saved by Jesus’ Life and Death

Added to the scripture from the previous post (“God Save Us”), we are blessed to be reconciled to Christ, both by Jesus’ life and death.  What unconditional love God has for us! Continue reading “Saved by Jesus’ Life and Death”

God Saves Us

God rays.jpgWhy do we need God? Why do we need salvation?  God sent His Son to die for us so that we can be saved.  Why?

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23

I wanted to start with this to remind people that no one is perfect. I am not perfect. I have many flaws. I am just like you. But, God is faithful and loves all of us. Romans 5:8 says, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us in that while we were sinners Christ died for us.” If we believe this with all our heart and turn to Him, we will be saved. Ephesians 2:8-9 says “For by grace we have been saved through faith, and that not of ourselves; it is a gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. We are all equal in God’s eyes. None of us are saved by anything we do. We cannot earn salvation. It is God’s gift to us. It is what Jesus did on the cross that saves us and only through Him are we saved.  Praise God for all You do and for changing my life and my desires and giving me hope. May the Lord bless all of you!

God Loves You!

047

Today I want to share with you how much God loves you. He changed my life so much and filled my heart with joy. He never gave up on me and He won’t give up on you. His desire is that all will be saved. God the Father sent His one and only Son, Jesus who is God, came to this earth to save us by taking the sins of the world on His shoulders and gave His life by dying on the cross, to be raised from the dead on the third day to sit on the right hand of God the Father.

 John 3:16-21

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the Light and does not come to the Light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done by God.”

We are saved by grace (a gift of God through His Son) through faith in Jesus Christ. Thank you Jesus.

Be Reconciled to God

shadow-986955_1280

Jesus Christ, our Redeemer, died for our sins so that we could be reconciled to Him.  As we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, having The evidence that we are in Christ is that we walk in the Spirit, leaving our sins behind, loving God and loving others.  Our old self has been crucified on the cross with Christ.  We need to leave the life we lived behind, for we have become a new creation.  Our character, our desires our lives have been changed.  If not, you need to be reconciled to God.  Confess your sins, repent and turn away from your sinful nature and toward Christ.  He will help you through anything.  You will struggle, but with God, all things are possible.  Put your faith in Him and enjoy the newness in life, life more abundantly, assurance of eternal life through the blood of Jesus.  As believers, we all have a ministry.  A ministry to be a light to this world, to share God’s word, and to help those in need.

2 Corinthians 5:14-21

“For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.

Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

Thank God for reconciling us to Him.  For bringing us into the family of God.
